Young Adult/Adult Counselling

I believe therapy is for everyone, and at any time, to avoid getting to a point of crisis. However, most people that seek help are feeling anxious, depressed or just not satisfied with their life choices. I offer a safe and confidential space in which to explore either specific issues or life challenges in general.

Executive Coaching

This is a focused short-term (typically 12 weeks), more direct approach.  Think of it as an effective conversation to help you clarify choices and make changes. My job is to ask the right questions.  It is particularly helpful if committing to therapy feels too daunting.

Workshops and Organisations

Having spent a long time as a consultant, I particularly enjoy working with organisations exploring unconscious behaviours and roles.  I work with Family Offices and Boards of Directors helping resolve conflict and promote healthy communication. I also offer Workshops to schools, and organisations. Some of the topics are parenting challenges, resilience and work/life balance.

Frequent questions

Where is your practice?

I offer in-person sessions in Central London, in Chelsea, SW3 (a 3 min walk from Sloane Square) and in Barnes, SW13. I also offer online sessions if required.

What is the cost of therapy?

The cost of a therapy session is similar to the cost of a personal training session! Please contact me for my fees. Please note that I do not offer low-fee appointments in my private practice, however, I work with complex cases and NHS referrals at a low-fee charity clinic.

How do you work?

I practice psychodynamically, which involves exploring unconscious conflicts and behaviours. We will explore your unresolved issues and conflicts bringing greater awareness of yourself and your patterns of relating.  I am interested in the roles you take within families, relationships, and work.

How many sessions will I need?

It is entirely up to you! I prefer to work on an “open ended” basis, for as long as we feel it is necessary. Research shows that therapy that last a minimum of two years, offers longer lasting results. However, what matters is to find what works for you. I also offer Executive Coaching sessions, which are more guided and shorter term (typically 12 weeks).

How do I know if a therapist is right for me?

Evidence shows that the most important aspect of a succesful  therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship, so it is important that you feel that we are the right “fit”. This is typically explored in the first couple of sessions. I work with a network of therapists that specialise in different areas, and sometimes I may suggest someone that may be better suited to your needs.

What age groups do you work with ?

I work with young adults (16+) and adults. I believe we go through developmental crises at several points in life: at around school leaving/university age, then at Quarter-life, Mid-life, and Menopause and Andropause. So it is always a good time to learn and grow.
