About me
Prior to re-training, I had an international career in law and finance, so am familiar with high-pressure environments, stress and the search for a healthy life-balance.
I completed MScs (Masters of Sciences) in both Psychology and Counselling and Psychotherapy, so understand the links between body/mind, emotional distress and mental illness. I work psychodynamically, bringing the unconscious into consciousness, to gain deep, lasting, emotional and physical symptom relief. I did my clinical training in the NHS at a high-secure psychiatric hospital, and later with Mind and the Wimbledon Guild.
Having lived in several countries, I understand the challenges of uprooting and cultural adaptation. I grew up in Buenos Aires, and work in English and Spanish. I believe in helping you develop your own emotional vocabulary so you can connect with others in healthier, more meaningful ways. I abide by the ethics and standards of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and undertake regular professional development.
